Aila means “blessed” or “holy” (from Swedish “helig” or Old Norse “heilagr”) and “healthy” (from Norse “hailac”). In Scottish Gaelic, Aila means “from a strong place”. In Turkish Aila means “moonlight”, “halo” and in Hebrew it means “oak tree” and “terebinth tree”.
