Yes, Howlite can go in the sun for charging for a few hours, as it's one the crystals that don't have any pigment color to fade in the sun. Although, you got to be careful with putting any crystal in the sun for too long, to protect it from getting brittle, cracking or heating up, and also try to keep part of the crystal in the shade.
