(from ancient Greek “ákhos/ἄχος” = distress/sorrow/pain + “laós/λαός” = people/soldiers). Besides Achil could mean “thin-lipped” (from ancient Greek “a-/α-“ = negation element + “kheĩlos/χεῖλος” = lip).
