The Grumble Family lives on the Complaining Street. As they are always dissatisfied with everything and everyone, no one likes to meet The Grumble Family. Their dissatisfaction and discontent makes them gloomy and angry about their circumstances in life. The poet writes that if something succeeds at pleasing them, then The Grumble Family will be annoyed by the fact that they don't have anything to be angry with. Despite being from high and humble background, the people of The Grumble Family judge other people and growl at them. Hence, their discontent with people makes them act coldly and selfishly towards other folks.
