The highest clouds are no higher than 12 kilometres (12,000 meters) above ground, so that altitude could be considered the “height of the sky”. Or it could be the boundary between the atmosphere and space—the upper limit for aircraft—which scientists give as 100 KM (100,000 meters) above ground.
